The first information about this single line soft kite I got in the newsgroup rec.kites. Then I asked Dean Jordan for more information and I checked the photos published on World Wide Web.
The Airform is a new soft kite Dean Jordan worked on for the year 1998. It won first place at the AKA convention in 1998 in the soft and cellular comprehensives. This kite and it's different sizes, has 100's of hours flying now, and has been proven time again at various festivals around the United States. Airforms with their twin long tails fly in a variety of wind conditions.

The Airform 50 has 6 chambers with 4 keels, the Airform 100 and 200 have 8 chambers with 5 keels, and the Airform 400 has 12 chambers with 7 keels. The top and bottom surfaces have a rectangle shape like the surfaces on parafoils. There are no air flow holes on the bottom and top surface. The maximum height of the profile is oriented more to the leading edge and is smaller as most flowforms have. The trailing edge is straight and has no jet chute. But the two center chambers are open at the trailing edge. Like flowforms the keels have one row of bridle lines underneath the lower leading edge. The length of the leading edge of the keel is shorter than the leading edge of most flowforms.
Since january 1999 Dean Jordan has those plans available for the 50, 100 and 200 sq.ft. Airform ready to go. This includes plans, drawings, example, label, and full size template. Price for first plan is $40 and $20 for further plans. Price for shipping $3 in the United States and $6 for foreign countries.
Dean will also happily build you one as well, if you'd like. There are now 4 sizes available (50, 100, 200, and 400 sq.ft). The prices for the Airforms (Airform 50: $375, Airform 100: $650, Airform 200: $950, Airform 400: $2200) includes kite with two very long tails. He guarantee the kites to be free of defect and repair all for free for the first year if they are at fault for the damage. You get to pick up to three colors for those prices and custom work is an option.

Die Airform 50 hat 6 Kammern mit 4 Kielen, die Airform 100 und 200 haben 8 Kammern mit 5 Kielen, und die Airform 400 hat 12 Kammern mit 7 Kielen. Die Ober- und Unterseite ist rechteckig wie die Oberflächen von Parafoils. Es sind kein Luftausgleichslöcher auf Ober- und Unterseite vorhanden. Die maximale Höhe des Profiles ist mehr zur Leitkante orientiert und ist kleiner als bei den meisten Flowforms. Die Schleppkante ist gerade und hat keinen Jet Chute. Aber die beiden mittleren Kammern sind an der Schleppkante offen. Wie bei Flowforms haben die Kiele eine einreihige Waagenanbindung unterhalb der vorderen Leitkante. Die Länge der Leitkante der Kiele ist kürzer als bei den meisten Flowforms.
Seit Januar 1999 bietet Dean Jordan solche Pläne für die 50, 100, und 200 sq.ft. Airform startfertig an. Dies beinhaltet Pläne, Zeichnungen, Beispiele und Schablonen in Originalgröße. Der Preis für den ersten Plan ist $40 und $20 für jeweils weitere Pläne. Der Preis für Versand beträgt $3 in den Vereinigten Staaten und $6 in andere Länder.
